Till The Casket Drops: Album of the Year...yea I said it.

After careful analyzing of all releases in 2009, I'm crowning Till the Casket Drops Album of the Year. Clipse dropped another classic, the album's content is whole, their beats are ridiculous this time around (I was expecting a bunch of Pharrell beats that sound the same), and did I mention I don't have to skip any songs!? This is a must buy to add to your Hip Hop collection. I'm not just gasing this album by any means because their my favorite group, but for the fact they came proper more than anyone that came out this year.(and yes I'm talking bout Jay-z and everyone under) Songs that I felt attached too as soon as I pressed play were Freedom, Showing Out, and Champion, since I already heard a majority of the album before it came out. Heres the tracks I was mentioning earlier.

Cali's own Tyga, released his new mixtape entitled "Black Thoughts" this month and was really slept on in my opinion just like the "Outraged and Underaged" mixtape he dropped back in March that had a lot of bangers on it such as "Cali Love" and "Forever". Tyga seems to be a underdog on Young Money for some reason, for this dude went from the Coconut Juice track to dropping lyrical bombs on every track he dropped this year. I think Drake is outshining everyone on Young Money right now that is the most logical explanation. I'm all about giving credit to artists when its due and I think Tyga deserves some props. I just saw these dudes in St. Pete, FL at the KOD tour with Tech N9ne and Glasses Malone and that was the best $20 I spent. They gave a hell of a performance and after the show I got to meet all of the members which was cool since Joe Budden of one of my favorite rappers of all time. If you haven't purchased their album yet, you need to dig a 6 ft. hole for yourself and you know the rest...lol

J. COLE: THE REALEST AND MOST SLEPT ON NEW ARTIST

J. Cole is a new artist in the game signed to Jay-z's Roc Nation label and is featured on "a Star is Born" on Blueprint 3, where most people have just discovered him on the album, who I think is one of the realest in the game and most slept on. He came out with two mixtapes "The Come Up" and "The Warm Up" which I think they are classics considering the fact they are more of an album instead a bunch of random songs put together similar to Drakes "So Far Gone". The best way for me to describe him is a hungry artist who sounds like College Dropout Kanye and Lupe put together and he makes his own beats which also think of him sounding like a CD Kanye. The reason why I don't think he's getting the exposure he deserves is, cause hes not making dumb radio songs and isn't making up Bullshit or putting on a fake persona like most artist do just to get record sales. My favorite duo "The Clipse", are finally getting ready to release their album "Till The Casket Drops" on Dec 8th (Thank God) after many delays and pushbacks like every Rap album that's suppose to come out. From the looks of the productions and recent leaks, the album is looking very promising and I hope to see them get perfect ratings "again" like their last album "Hell Hath No Fury". One thing I noticed different about this album, is that they worked with other producers instead of just The Neptunes and they have some good features from my favorite rappers Cam'ron and Kanye. I will be buying 2 copies for sure when it comes out, these dudes deserve it. SUPPORT HIP HOP!

BBC x BP3 "So Ambitious" Tee

This BBC Tee is a collaborative t-shirt between Jay-Z and Pharrell in honor of the release of the Blue Print 3 Album.(via BBCBlog) For those who don't own a copy of BP3 or isn't into production, Pharrell produced the track "So Ambitious" on the album track 14, hence the name of the tee. There's 3 red stripes on the left sleeve to make it an official Blueprint 3 tee. Since I proclaim myself the poster child of billionaire boys club, this is must for my collection. The shirt was released on Halloween at noon and I went on their website around the time period it said for release. The F#@&in shirt sold out in like 5 mins so the only way I can possibly get this tee is on eBay with the average price of 200 which is not a good look for Hip Hop lol I'm still debating whether or not its worth the money for a piece of clothing, but I'm So Ambitious.

Do you remember Shyne? You know, he use to be the hardest nigga in Hip Hop until he caught up in situation with Diddy at a party and cost him a 10 yr. bid cause Diddy off'd him with his legal team and went to Rikers, yea that guy. Every since the day he got locked up, most of his true fans started somewhat of a countdown till he gets released and people try to find ways to keep him relevant and even had over the phone beef songs with artists like 50 cent when he was rising to the top. Fast foward to now, Shyne is released out of prison, but the government made him get deported on some Slick Rick type shit. Now he is within the Belize limits and can't even come to America smh...But for some reason I don't think he's the Shyne we were waiting for all these years. First, he converted to Judaism while he was in jail and changed his name to Moses Michael Leviy and everyone knows that when a brother converts to a religion while doing a bid, their not the same person who went in, which in this case is not a good look for Hip Hop lol. He did his first interview in Belize at a somewhat press conference and I didn't see the Shyne that I know. If you look at the video, dude got a funny ass hair style and wearing ivy college clothes like a cosby kid lol then he totally switched the way he talks. All he keeps saying in the video is EDUCATION! EDUCATION! EDUCATION! NO GANGBANGING! and some other corny shit like that.C'MON SON! IMO, she's a gimmick and a hype beast.
